Waxing is where it all began for us for the ladies and the gents. As the pioneers of Brazilian and Brozilian waxing in Australia, we’re known for our quick service, our hygiene and for making people feel comfortable, even during the most intimate of services.
We take our waxing pretty seriously, ensuring all of our therapists receive ongoing training and development. We will provide you with advice on how to prepare for your treatment and how to get the most out of your treatment through proper aftercare. We also use wax that is exclusive to our brand, which has been specially formulated to only grab your hair – not your skin!
Make no mistake, Brazilian Butterfly is committed to ensuring you have a great experience. Whether you’re trying waxing for the first time or are a seasoned pro, you can count on a consistent service, every time.

Wash your skin daily to keep follicles clean and free of bacteria
Exfoliate 24-48 hours before your wax to remove as many dead skin cells as possible, to ensure the wax grabs only your hair
Prepare for your wax by using the BB wipe provided to clean the area
Don’t book an appointment if your skin has had too much sun exposure or trauma that has damaged the skin’s surface
Don’t book in for a wax if you have a spray tan that you want to keep – it will get waxed off!
Moisturise your skin straight after your wax
Apply ice or a moisturiser after waxing to reduce redness or irritation if your skin is super sensitive
Exfoliate your skin 3-5 days after your wax with a body wash or body scrub using a glove or mitt
Always shower after exercise to clear follicles of perspiration which can lead to bacterial infections
Prevent ingrown hairs by using our BB Soothe product once per day after waxing. If you are particularly prone to these little devils you can always book an additional 10 minutes with each appointment for a professional ingrown hair removal service (only available at select salons)
Try to avoid sexual activity in the first 24 hours after getting an intimate wax, as your hair follicles will still be open and susceptible to infection (sorry!)
Don’t hack at your ingrowns, otherwise your skin may scar. Get them extracted safely and hygienically by professionals
Don’t exfoliate your skin everyday as this dries up the normal healthy oils in your skin, making it harder for hairs to penetrate the skin’s surface
Don’t apply deodorant or cologne until 24 hours after your wax (if applying to the waxed area)
Avoid sun exposure in the first 24 hours after your treatment
Don’t shave between waxing appointments as this can interrupt your hair growth pattern
